"Kanji" is the Japanese word for "Chinese character". Each Kanji Charm is handmade out of clay and raku-fired. "Raku" is an ancient firing technique that was first used in 16th century Japan. Pieces are pulled from the kiln while they are red-hot, then subjected to fire, air and water to give them unique textures and colors. The results are always a surprise! Each charm is a one-of-a-kind piece of art hung on an adjustable satin cord.
